Shelly C. Stant is an associate at Kiefer & Kiefer who focuses on insurance defense. Shelly’s litigation experience includes more than twenty years of defending large insurance companies in automobile accident cases throughout the State of Louisiana. She successfully litigated cases in the majority of Louisiana’s sixty-four Parishes.
Shelly also excels in appellate advocacy having worked as a Central Staff Attorney for the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal in New Orleans. Her experience includes extensive legal research and writing for the twelve Judges of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal.
Shelly has a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Loyola University. She worked as a Commercial Loan Review Analyst, a Foreign Exchange Trader and Trade Services provider for Louisiana’s Import and Export clientele.
Shelly graduated from Loyola College of Law. She is active with Dominican High School Alumni Association. She also worked as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for CASA and Mentored at risk youth with CHAMP (Children’s Advocacy and Mentoring Program).
Shelly lives in Covington with her husband, Mike who is a high school football Coach. She is active with LSU Family Association as her daughter, Sarah, is a senior at LSU. She enjoys volunteering at Special Olympic events and watching high school and College football games.
