Kiefer & Kiefer has filed a breach of contract lawsuit against the Krewe of Nyx and its Captain, Julie Lea.
Our client, PFJ Floats, LLC, is a well-respected Mardi Gras company located in Jefferson Parish. It has helped to produce the Krewe of Nyx parade for nine years, which included providing float designs, float rentals, conceptual design, tractor drivers, float transport, police details, and more. Since the Fall of 2019, PFJ Floats has been performing substantial work on the Nyx 2021 parade, some of which is currently featured on Nyx’s social media account.
Following its 2020 scandals, Nyx unilaterally terminated the contract with PFJ Floats without cause.
We have filed suit in Orleans Parish Civil District Court seeking damages, penalties, and attorneys’ fees, as well as interest and costs.
