Kiefer & Kiefer filed suit in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against a solar roofing company. 

The suit alleges that our client contracted to have solar panels installed on her roof.  Under the contract, the solar company was required to remove, for a fee, the solar panels when roofing work needed to be done.  They removed the solar panels but, unbeknownst to our client, did not take some of the hardware off of the roof or secure it onto the roof.  This was right before Hurricane Ida.  During Hurricane Ida, our client went outside to turn on her generator and the unsecured equipment few off of the roof, hitting her in the head, causing severe injuries and damages.
