Chris Short is an associate at Kiefer & Kiefer who focuses on personal injury and insurance defense. Chris’s litigation experience includes criminal and domestic matters, oral argument in district courts across the state, as well as judge and jury trials. He is privileged to represent a diverse client base which includes both major insurance companies and injured individuals. 

Before joining Kiefer & Kiefer, Chris served as law clerk to the Honorable Judge Raymond Steib Jr., of the 24th JDC. His many years of experience with the Judge provided him with a wealth of litigation insight, as well as a unique prospective on effective and efficient client representation.  Chris also worked at Martzell, Bickford & Centola, where he took part in high profile personal injury cases, including a death case stemming from Deep Water Horizon.

Chris serves a Board Member for the Pro Bono Project. He has also served as a committee member and sub-chair for the Justice for All Ball. Chris’ pro bono work includes criminal, domestic, land lord tenant, and general business disputes.

Chris graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tulane Law School, where he also served as Senior Associate Editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. 

Chris is an avid sportsman, and lives with his wife, Jess, in Broadmoor.
